The first Tuesday of Oktoberfest is in honor of the women who make our community so good. A women’s-only stein hoisting competition and a women-owned vendor pop-up.
Ladies’ Day dates back to a time when factory and shop schedules kept working women out of the festival on its busiest days, so the tents carved out a Tuesday for them. We’re keeping the spirit and losing the discount framing — women host, women compete.
The winner’s name goes on the bar trophy. For good.
