DESCRIPTION:Atlanta Based KJ and the FunkMaysons are a 9-piece funk band fr
 om Atlanta\, GA. The band formed in 2023 from a collection of funk loving 
 music nerds who met in the Edgewood Neighborhood of Atlanta and who all ju
 st couldn't get enough 70’s based improvisational funk music. What began
  as an instrumental band took a turn when they met Kelly Jewell\, whose po
 werful and distinctive vocals quickly became an integral part of their sou
 nd. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses hard hitting grooves and pun
 chy horn lines with unbelievable vocal lines and improvisational wizardry 
 that will make you want to dance all night.\n\nATLANTA STREETS ALIVE\n\nWa
 lk\, bike\, roll\, scoot\, and stroll your way over! Join us as we open st
 reets for the people. Get ready to experience your community streets in a 
 safer\, healthier\, more livable way. Sunday\, November 17 from 1pm-5pm th
 ey will transform our streets into living public spaces connecting seven S
 outhwest neighborhoods via Ralph David Abernathy Blvd and Georgia Ave.\n\n

 rtation with support by Propel ATL and the Atlanta community\, was created
